Have you ever seen a witch doctor?
I have seen many, witness to some, been cursed by one and have experienced some of their work.
I took this picture a while back, while on the way to our Feeding Centre in Kachere.
I will leave the English translation of the text below, but the images shown on that banner need a quick explanation. The human-like creatures are supposed to be the witches that go at night and hurt those who are cursed. The snake is the animal witches use.
This is an advertisement for a traditional healer (a witch doctor) offering services related to spiritual protection, healing, and remedies for various ailments.

Here is the English translation:
DOCTOR SIKAWASONI – AFRICAN DOCTOR
We come from Mozambique.
We treat diseases such as:
• We protect homes.
• When a person is bewitched with evil spells.
• You can summon someone even if they are far away.
• Strange illnesses.
• Learning difficulties in school.
• Cough, epilepsy, and asthma.
COME ALL WHO NEED HELP. COME HERE TO BE HELPED.
As a missionary, I will tell you that both the “witch” – who places the curse and the “witch doctor” – who removes the curse, both of them work with and for the same spiritual world. Both of them are tools of the devil to keep people afraid and in chains.
This dark world can only be overcome by Jesus – who is the Light of this world.
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
Jesus in John 8:12.
I feel the call of Jesus to share Him with the people of Malawi, so they can leave the darkness, turn to the light and be saved!
I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.
Acts 26:17-18.
