    Gifts for Christmas 2024

By God’s grace and through the generosity of those who gave, we were blessed to provide Christmas gifts to all 164 orphans under our care in Africa.

The ministry with these precious children began in 2012, and since then, our ministry, Hope for the Future, has played a vital role in their lives. In 2024 alone, we served over 100,000 meals to these children. You can learn more about this life-changing ministry here: Feeding Centres.

As always, the joy was immeasurable when the children received their much-anticipated gifts. This year, each child was blessed with food items, clothing, candies, and personal hygiene supplies. Additionally, our dedicated staff members were also honored with gifts for their incredible service.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave so generously to make this possible!

    Items sorted and prepared.

    Loaded unto our vehicles.

    Kachere – 100 children.

    Mpyupyu – 64 orphans.

You will see that our building in Mpyupyu is missing its roof and that is because we had a major storm in the beginning of December and the strong winds destroyed the Feeding Centre and the church. I wrote more about it here: Major storm damage in Mpyupyu.

    Christmas 2023

Like every year for a long time now, it was our great joy to give again and bring happiness in the hearts of these beautiful kids. By now everyone knows what Christmas is and they know that gifts are part of the tradition so these cute children, just like all children around the world, do look forward to their Christmas presents.

Thank you to everyone who donated! We didn’t raise as much money as we needed – we know the economy suffers for everyone – but we put to use what it was sent and the gifts brought a lot of joy!
163 children – orphans of both parents – were blessed on Christmas Day, as well as all their care takers at both Feeding Centers. Also, our team in Malawi received a monetary gift that blessed them and their families.

    A truckload of gifts!!!

The true nativity scene has a dragon in it

Christmas is coming, the wonderful Celebration of our Saviors birth. Many Christians will display nativity scenes of the Lord’s birth, but did you know that most of them are not 100% Biblical?

Most of those scenes are taken from the story in Luke 2, showing the baby Jesus in the manger with Joseph, Mary, shepherds and animals. Other scenes are taken from Matthew 2, where we read about the wise men from the east. Tradition says there were three, but the Bible doesn’t specify that. More importantly, they did not come to the manger, but to the house where Jesus’ family was, so it is possible that the wise men came to Jesus months or even years after His birth (Matt. 2:11).

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

    Matthew 2:10-11

Other scenes of our Savior’s birth are completely wrong, showing animals that weren’t there at the time (giraffes, lions, etc) or, even worse, showing Santa Claus. But you know what I’ve never seen in such a scene? A red dragon with 7 heads, ready to eat the baby in the manger!!!

Revelation 12:4 says: “And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.” John gives us a heavenly perspective on the birth of Jesus, showing us the devil, ready to destroy Jesus.

Many commentators say that the woman in Rev. 12 is actually Israel, but one thing is certain: the child is none other than Jesus, and the fiery red seven-headed devil wanted to destroy God’s plan for our salvation from the very beginning.

Dear friends, the enemy still lives and seeks to destroy God’s plan in our lives. If he tried to fight Jesus, he will fight and stand against us. The good news is that the Lord is in us, with us and for us, to work through us!

    Give joy this Christmas

It’s the end of the year again and our 163 orphans are eagerly waiting for Christmas. Just like we do every year, we want to raise money for the beautiful children from Kachere and Mpyupyu. They are all orphans with no one to love them enough to give them something special for this Christmas. Help us bring joy, smiles and happiness in their lives.

    So far we've raised $0!

Give the gift of joy – Christmas 2021

Every year we raise money for the beautiful children from Kachere and Mpyupyu. They are all orphans with no one to love them enough to give them something special for this Christmas. Again this year, we want to bring joy, smiles, happiness and gratefulness to each of these 173 children.

Last year you gave and we were able to provide substantial gifts not only to the kids, but also to the staff who is working with them every single day of the year. Thank you again for your generosity and, if you haven’t read already, I encourage you to read my blog post from December 2020; your heart will be blessed to see their joy!!!
    Christmas 2020.

Just like one year ago, we plan to raise $20 for each child. If we raise more, we will use it all for them. We want to buy sleeping blankets, clothes, shoes, toys and candies.

Let’s join hands and, together, give the gift of joy.

    So far we've raised $0!

  • Gifts for Christmas

    Gifts for Christmas

Last month we’ve started to raise money for the orphans in Kachere and Mpyupyu, so they can receive a small gift during this Christmas. To date, almost 70% of the amount needed was raised and we do have some promises for later. Praise the Lord for that and thank each and everyone of you for being a part of this beautiful ministry. Today I want to update you and let you know that we have bought the stuff, prepared the gifts and delivered them to all 173 children. More than that, even the workers that make this ministry possible were able to enjoy some gifts as well. From their hearts and ours: Thank you!!! Because 2018 is just about to end, we wish you a very Happy New Year!

    Christmas 2018

It is almost Christmas, that time of the year when all of us are thinking about family, joy, being with the loved ones and gifts, many gifts. We would like to continue our “tradition” and give some gifts of love to the children of Kachere and Mpyupyu and we need your help.

As you know, these 173 children receive daily food and love at our two Feeding Centres, but by now they know Christmas is coming and you can see the anticipation in their precious eyes!

Help us give them a gift this Christmas.

We’ve been doing this every single year since the beginning of this ministry and we would like to continue for as long as possible. Our plan is to raise enough money to buy something useful and good for these children. We need $20/child and this totals to $3,460 – an amount well over our capabilities. This money will buy each child some necessary items like soap, tooth paste, shoes plus some things they really like: assorted sweets and toys.

You can donate online, through PayPal account or using any other ways found on our “Give” page. You can also use the form below, which will redirect you to PayPal as well. We have two requests: 1. Please give with joy and 2. Please let us know immediately so we can expect that money and know how close we are to the goal. Thank you!

  • Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Thank you for being a blessing to us throughout this 2017. Whether you pray for us, support us or both; your part in this ministry is so important and we would like to show our appreciation. Whether you come or send someone else, thank you for laboring alongside us for the benefit of the Gospel. (more…)

  • Give a Gift of Love

    Give a Gift of Love

Here we are again in that time of the year when everyone is thinking about family, joy, being with the loves ones and gifts, many gifts. We would also like to do something for the orphan children in Kachere and Mpyupyu, just like we did every single year, and we need your help.

As you know, these children receive daily food and love at our two Feeding Centres, but I know they look forward for something special during this Christmas. I also know they will never ask for anything, but you could read in their precious eyes that they anticipate something will happen.

Help us prepare a gift for them, for this year’s Christmas.

We’ve been doing this every single year since the beginning of this ministry and we would like to continue now in 2016. Our plan is to collect an online offering until December 20th. After that, we will use all the money collected to buy them something useful. As you know, for the past 2 years rains have not come as expected and many people are suffering. Although these children get 2 meals every day, the 3rd meal at home is often missing. Help us to buy them a bag of maize, a couple kilograms of rice and a new blanket and clothes.

We need $32/child. I know it may seem a lot, but only a bag of maize goes for more than $20 at the moment. A bag of corn flour feeds a family for 1 month.

If you would like to be a part of this great ministry, please use the form below. All you need to do is fill in all the information required, then press the DONATE NOW button at the bottom of the form. It will then take you to a secure PayPal page, where you can continue with the donation. I would like to remind you that no PayPal account is necessary for this transaction.

Moreover, if you would rather send your gift using the traditional way (maybe through your church or sending a cheque), you can do that also. We only ask you to send us a note so that we know where we are and how far we need to go. We will also update the progress bars. Open this page, Give, for more details.
